BTC or XBT?

So I see Bloomberg is in the process of adding Bitcoin to their ticker which will definitely increase the interest in this awesome currency, however it begs the question of whether we should begin to standardize the way we reference bitcoin? I know I use "BTC" both in conversation and on my website (send X-amount of BTC to...), however when the time comes when we get an actual ISO code it will most likely be XBT. That could cause confusion if some merchants make the switch while others stick with "BTC".
So I ask, when should we (if ever) begin the transition from using BTC to XBT?

Last year, I started tracking the price of FB and Bitcoin at the set of the FB IPO. If you had bought $1000 of FB and XBT at the IPO, FB would still be down $169 and XBT would be up $25,000. Stay tuned Twitter - You're next.

Proposal to drop the "Cash" and change ticker symbol to XBT

As stated in the other threads by all industry standards associated with software forks and from a purely technical perspective as outlined by Satoshi in the original Bitcoin whitepaper - Bitcoin "Cash" is the real Bitcoin, so why not just drop the "Cash" and change the ticker symbol or XBT?
This is not a new proposal, it's one that been on the table since 2010.

In the altcoin space, when two projects share the same name they are differentiated by their ticker symbol. I see no reason why that shouldn't apply here. BTC will never be adopted as an ISO standard for multiple reasons so the natural evolution would be to eventually change it to XBT or XBC. Why not draw first blood and make the change now? Bloomberg already uses XBT to relate to Bitcoin so a change to XBT would force them to cover the real Bitcoin rather than the pretenders who've alienated the core design.
Furthermore, from a linguistic perspective it makes more sense to introduce the asset as Bitcoin "XBT" as opposed to Bitcoin "Cash" which has the added benefit of introducing the other party to the correct ticker symbol rather than a useless postfix meant to do the job of a ticker symbol.
IMO, Bitcoin with a postfix "Cash" degrades Satoshi's original project name and is more in-line with some insignificant altcoin clone with no technological improvement. A "Cash" postfix is also synonymous with privacy, something neither Bitcoin BTC nor Bitcoin XBT provides on a cryptographic level (aside from a nameless wallet).
TL:DR: Bitcoin XBT is much more professional and is a strategic pre-emptive move against the inevitable change to XBT from the pretenders using the BTC symbol.
